- How can I be listed on First Source?

- How can I order a product from First Source?
First Source only provides product information. We do not sell or take orders for any products. For more information and/or ordering the products featured, please contact the manufacturer directly. Contact information can be found on the manufacturer's profile page.
- Who makes "such and such" product?
If we have the information requested, we will be glad to provide it. Please note that our data is concentrated on commercial building products, not residential.
- Does First Source include lists of distributors and suppliers?
First Source provides information on distributors and suppliers when available from manufacturers. Distributors appear on the manufacturer's profile page under the link "Local Contacts." We are constantly striving to increase the number of distributors and suppliers in our database.
- Will you link First Source to our site?
Manufacturers and associations with product information in First Source and on the First Source Web site are automatically linked to their individual Web sites from each of their profile pages.
- I saved the URL (location) of a product entry in my bookmarks file (or favorite places file) and when I try to go there, I get a "Page Not Found" error. What is wrong?
There are several possible reasons for that error message. First, a manufacturer might not offer that product anymore and has requested that we pull the information from First Source. A second possible reason is a manufacturer has renewed and updated its product for next year's edition of the printed book. In this case, we replace the old document with the new one and the URL changes.
- How do I update my company's information on your site?
If you need to update your company contact information - name address, phone, fax, 800 number, email or Web address simply send an email with the old and new information. (Please include your name and title so that we know who requested the changes.)
If you have questions and/or updates with regard to the trade names and/or CSI codes, please send product literature with a note detailing the changes you are requesting.

- I am having some trouble accessing your site. Do I need a special browser? ReedFirstSource.com works with most available browsers. It helps to use the latest version of your browser as vendors are always making improvements in how browsers function. To download:

- When I try to login the login page keeps refreshing. Why won't it accept my user name and password?
Your browser needs to be set to accept session cookies. In IE 5.5, click on Tools>Internet Options, then select the Security tab. If you have your browser set to the default setting, you have cookies enabled. If you have set it to a higher level, or if you have created a custom setting, click on the Custom Level button, then scroll down and make sure the "Allow Cookies that are stored on your computer" radio button is set to enable. In IE 6.0, click on Tools>Internet Options, then select the Privacy tab. If you have a 'Medium' Security setting you should be okay. You can edit how you handle cookies by selecting the 'Advanced' button and revising your settings. In Netscape 6.0, select Edit>Preferences. Then click on Cookies under the Advanced category. (You may need to click on the word Advanced in order for the Cookies option to appear. Select either the "Enable all cookies" or the "Enable cookies for the originating web site only" option.
